• Gregg has started working 1:30 - 10:00.  He LOVES it.  He is getting up in the morning & working out.
• I started training in the mornings at the Gwinnett Environmental Center in Buford.  Best thing about that is Gregg brings me breakfast in bed & helps me get out the door.  Yes, I am a kept woman.  I am also still doing my fun Youth job. 
• Ryan started graduate school at Georgia State. 
• Keegan started fall classes at Georgia State. 
• Chelsie moved into her new apartment in Athens & started classes. 

Nothing is really wrong.  It is just different.  It is just that the McIver house has always been full of activity.  Now it just seems like nobody’s home. 

Exciting thing - Bella came to spend the night!

So Bella spent the night with us on Saturday night while Katie & Chris attended Katie’s 10 year class reunion.  What a great time we had.  And the best part was her sleeping the in same bed that all the McIver kids slept in & the same room.  Where did all that time go….

I can’t believe this young man is the same cute little curly head boy that has always made me laugh.  Oh my gosh how time moves so quickly!  We celebrated by going out to eat & then back to the house for a fire on the beach complete with smores.  This vacation has been fun because we have spent the week with Gregg’s brother Jeff & his family.  Today Gregg’s sister Stephanie & her husband Perry are coming to stay & we are going scalloping.  Yeh!  Here are some pictures from the day.

Pretty neat, huh?  Gregg was so excited - just like a little kid.  Pretty proud of his sister, too. We headed out to the beach.  What a beautiful day!  Then the rain came.

Is the Picture of your Life in Focus?

If you took a picture of my life - Julie Ann Smith McIver - you would see a perfect picture.  I grew up in the same house with a big brother & a little sister.  My parents are still happily married after over 50 years.  My dad was a football coach & my mom was a room mom & Camp Fire Girl leader.  I was a cheerleader & married my high school sweetheart and still in love after 31 years.  We have 4 beautiful & successful kids.  Not to mention a wonderful son in law & a new beautiful grandaughter.  I love my family & each & every friend that has come into my life. Everything has always gone great for me.  I believe deep down in my heart and soul that I am truly blessed.  But when I look at my life, I see it a little out of focus.  I don’t spend enough time in prayer with God, not always trusting him with my life.  Shouda-woulda-coulda done many things.  Wishing for another house, to lose weight.  Many things that don’t matter. 

When I left the house we were working on Thursday, I paused to say goodbye to our homeowner, Mrs. Pope.  Harriett Pope is parylized on her left side, her husband passed away 2 months after her stroke & her house is falling apart.  I asked her if there was one word that would describe a picture of her life.  Do you know what she said??  BLESSED!  She believes that her God is a good & loving God.  She is surrounded by family & friends that love her.  That WE were an answer to HER prayers.

So…..who has the picture of their life truly in focus???? 

I had a blast but boy am I tired!  God was truly with us this past week, guiding us as we impacted many lives.  God is Good.

And Craig (Jonathan) wanted my dress.  I looked like I just stepped out of the Partrige Family.  I had a blast.  I am truly blessed to have the Youth at LPC in my life.
