What is more fun than spending a week with over 600 middle schoolers learning about your identity & God & shaving cream battles & the Lost Sea & Scooby Do & Johnny Diaz & cafeteria food & Yuck & ……….. The best part of the week was my dream come true.  I hung out with the Spartan Cheerleaders!!!!

And Craig (Jonathan) wanted my dress.  I looked like I just stepped out of the Partrige Family.  I had a blast.  I am truly blessed to have the Youth at LPC in my life.

Gregg said the videos need a little explaning…..First video Bella was crying after every bite so I decided to dance & entertain her while she ate. Anything for my grandaughter! Gregg’s video was when we were trying to get a picture of Gdaddy & Bella in the pool. She was laughing at Ruby so Gregg was trying to get Ruby to hang around. Got it???

I am late posting this like I am doing most things.   If you don’t know my dad, let me introduce him.  There are several words that describe him - fun, crazy, loving.  Actually, he loves to have fun & act crazy.  You get the idea.  

Memories I have of him are:

• Sitting in the driveway waiting on him to get home from work so he could take me for driving lessons
• Park his pickup at work so the crabapples would fall in bringing home treat for neighborhood kids
• Playing the electric organ like he was Liberace or the creature from Phantom of the Opera
• Letting me stand on his feet as we danced in the living room to Herb Albert & the Tijuana Brass - my dad LOVES to dance
• Always has a project going - I guess that is where I get the love of building from
• He HATES mustard
• When he coached little league, he would go all over town to pick up his players so they could be at practice
• He knows all the words to the movie "Dumb & Dumber"
• He thinks he is a pirate
• He loves his family & we love him.

Now a shout out to my husband who is a great dad.  They say you marry someone like your dad.  All I can say about Gregg & my dad is they both have sacrificed & worked hard for the families that they love.  And they love to discuss (argue) things with each other.  Happy Father’s Day to the man who always loved to have his kids run out the front door when he got home from work saying "Daddy! Daddy!".  That is always been the only thing he has asked in return - for his family to love him.

Today is our 31st Wedding Anniversary! 

Boy time flies when you are having fun!

It has been a great week of relaxing in the sun & water.  I have always dreaded the last day of vacation - I don’t want it to be over.  It is not that I don’t miss my family & friends, I just like not having anything to do except sleep & eat.  And the scariest movie from my childhood is the movie "The Birds".  I know, I know.  The special effects now are kinda goofy but back in the day, it was really scary.  I still get chill bumps if I start seeing a lot of birds collecting on a power line.  So look what I see when I turn around at the beach the other day

He was walking on our towels!  So, would you say seagull or pigeon?  We have seen very few seagulls this week, mostly pigeons walking around town.  Maybe old pigeons come to Florida to retire, too.  Just a thought.  See ya soon!

Gregg & I walked down the beach to have breakfast this morning.  What a windy day it is outside, the water is rough but beautiful. 

I was thinking the other morning that every time I have got up for the sunrise, there has always been clouds blocking the view of when the sun first peaks over the horizon.  Look what I got this morning…

Just teaches you, don’t be afraid to ask.  Our God can do anything.

Bet you thought there was a picture of one of us.  Noooooo.  The Goodyear Blimp was flying up & down the beach today.  Made me laugh thinking about a comedian that Chelsie told me about was talking about blimps.  How everyone loves a blimp.  You never hear anyone say "Oh No!  Not another blimp!"  How true.

Gregg & I got in the hot tub today.  This little boy about 4 years old came up & told us we had to get out of the hot tub.  We had to be 16 years old to be in there.  Wanted to get out & kiss him but didn’t want to scare the kid. 

Saturday: Grilled steaks by the ocean.  Front cap on my tooth popped off.   After dinner Gregg walked around introducing us to everyone in the complex.  It is hard to smile & not let people know I have a front tooth missing, they probably thought I was weird.

Sunday : Laid on the beach all day UNDER the umbrella, got a sunburn. 

Monday:  Got my tooth fixed.  The dentist said that if it came off again, I could just move in a trailer park & open a can a beer & no one would notice.  Gregg said I should wear a mouth piece & dribble a basketball & everyone would not notice the tooth missing.  They are both pretty funny.

Tuesday:  Stay tuned - Gregg bought himself a snorkle kit.  Since he won’t go 5 feet past the shoreline, this should be interesting.
